Inspiring Youth Activists Around the World

SVP Teens is an organization that is run by teenagers that are enthusiastic about improving the world. Our generation is such a strong and confident generation. When all of us work together we can create a big change. With that in mind, check out some other youth from around the world working to make change!

Malala Yousafzai won the Nobel Peace Prize when she was 17 for fighting for women and girls’ right to education. She started off writing a blog about the inequality women face when she was just eleven years old, and didn’t stop there. She continuously fought for women’s right to a great education, even in the face of intense opposition from the Taliban. Now 22, she just recently finished her degree at Oxford University.

Greta Thunberg is a 17 year old environmental activist who sparked global protests. She has earned praise for her earnest, impassioned speaking style and her blunt messages to world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly. Her work has inspired millions of people to organize protests in over 150 countries.

Marley Diaz started the #1000blackbookscampaign when she was just 11 years old. Her goal was to collect and donate 1000 books to her peers that featured black girls as the main character. She has also made it on the Forbes 30 Under 30 List and has published a book talking about her success and motivating others to try to make change as well.

These are all just a few of many youth who have worked hard and never given up even when the toughest obstacles were put in front of them. These youth represent SVP Teens’s values, and we will try to follow in their footsteps and create change in our own community!
